Please reach us at info@bedflow.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Referrals are accepted directly from Emergency Duty Service teams. Please contact us via our dedicated out-of-hours line (details on our Contact page). We aim to respond immediately and can often arrange collection from police stations or hospitals within 2 hours .
For very short emergency placements, we prioritise emotional safety and stability. Where appropriate and logistically possible, we support continued school attendance or arrange suitable educational activities on-site to minimise disruption.
EDS teams value our ability to respond quickly to out-of-hours emergencies, our consistent single-family model, our trauma-informed practice, and our reliable collection service from police stations and hospitals. We are set up specifically to support the rapid response needs of Emergency Duty Services.
We are designed for speed. Many placements can start within a few hours of referral, including same-day and overnight admissions with direct collection from police stations or hospitals. EDS teams can contact us directly for immediate support.
Where it is safe and forms part of the emergency care plan, we can facilitate appropriate contact or support positive family time in line with EDS guidance.
Our trained staff provide a calm, welcoming environment with a strong focus on emotional regulation, safety, and rebuilding a sense of control. We work closely with the referring EDS team and social worker to ensure continuity of care and to support smooth handover once the emergency period ends.
We offer highly flexible emergency placements from as little as 8 hours up to a maximum of 7 days. This allows us to provide immediate crisis intervention, overnight safety, or short-term stabilisation while longer-term plans are arranged.
Our service is strictly emergency-only with a maximum of 7 days. In exceptional circumstances such as Xmas or Easter breaks we can discuss very short extensions with the Children's team, but we are designed for short, intensive intervention rather than longer-term placements.
We cover London, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire
When we open we will be registered with Ofsted and operate in full compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations and Quality Standards. Our emergency-only model and trauma-informed single-family approach are clearly set out in our Statement of Purpose, which is regularly reviewed as part of our Ofsted obligations.
We expect to be open in Dec 2026
We provide specialist care exclusively for individual sibling groups of up to three children. This trauma-informed, single-family model allows us to dedicate all our time, attention, and therapeutic resources to one family unit. Unlike traditional children’s homes that support multiple unrelated children with complex needs under one roof, our approach significantly reduces the risks of negative peer influence and competing demands, creating a calmer, more consistent, and truly personalised environment for healing and growth.
We understand that Councils, all operate differently, and we’re committed to making things easy. That’s why we offer:
We aim to keep the process simple and secure so you can focus on the children's and families needs while we take care of the rest.
We carry £10 million in Public Liability Insurance, ensuring comprehensive protection.
This coverage reflects our commitment to operating safely, responsibly, and with full accountability giving you total peace of mind when engaging our services.
